Hood 2 Hood Racing was created in November 2013. H2HR started out as just a blog / communication Facebook group to have fun and talk a little noise to each other. The group was also used for call outs and as an open form of communication for racing. Racers really took advantage of the site during rainy days and down time when the weather would not allow any racing. What started as a small group with less than a 100-members has grown into a network of over 30,000 people across the world. H2HR is a unique racing group because it does not just highlight celebrities or famous racers, but the everyday racers that are quite frequently left out of the limelight, the weekend warriors that keep race tracks alive. The faithful racers that race every single weekend are the people of H2HR. Normally frowned upon and stereotyped for the term “HOOD”, Which it is just short for Neighborhood. Our definition of Hood 2 Hood Racing is to respect being from different areas and walks of life. At the end of the day no matter where you are from, we are in the same pit area, the same staging lines, run off the same tree, run on the same track and even cross the same finish line! We all may have different styles of racing, but we all have the same objective. Make our cars go from A to B down the strip.

H2HR has dealt with some difficult times and challenges along the way. We have dealt with deaths of local racers and close fans, that will be forever near and dear in our hearts. We pray together, we laugh together, we cry together, and in some unfortunate situations we mourn together. A simple motto best represents the group “For The Racers, By The Racers”, with a catchy end slogan “Coming to a HOOD near you!”. H2HR represents individuals from all aspects of racing; from Drag slicks to Big Wheel Racing, No-Prep to Street, Class index & even some Bracket racers. All racing is good racing in the HOOD.
